Politicization of our food habits

In my entire life,I have never come across any Hadith or instances from the life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) where eating beef has been welcomed as an integral part of the Islamic religion.
So,your Imaan(Faith) is not going to be tarnished if you don't eat beef or it's not going to emanate your faith if you consume it.
People of various countries don't have sufficient grasslands and hence there is no such tradition of eating beef being followed over there.
But it doesn't demean their faith in Islam.
Religion is a light in your heart which quenches your thirst for a soulful experience of life.
Yes,I won't like to have it on my table if it hurts the religious sentiments of my people.
I would also like to keep their faith restored by playing my part by not supporting the consumption of beef.
But,all of sudden,in my country,it has come much as a political issue rather than a religious issue.
There are many non-Muslim friends of mine who hop on beef and they don't regret over it.
Moreover, there are various reports and surveys which clearly indicate that Muslims are not the consumers of beef alone.
People from every other sections of our society take it as a delightful experience.
The most unbiased situation is one where it is banned in one state while it's free in the other state.
Why such decision?
The export of beef has increased to manifolds in the recent years,in fact we are one of the fastest growing beef exporters.
Moreover, there is a business firm in Gujarat which deals in this and the company's owner doesn't belong to the Muslim community.
Why it's not banned?
(not the company but the export if saving cows from getting slaughtered is your only motive)
Lynching occurred at various places of India.
Are we heading towards a nation which is based on these double standards?
I am not a leader or an esteemed journalist who will ask for swaying upon your opinion on beef and religion.
Being an ordinary citizen of my country, all I need is a beautiful and peaceful world to live in.
Being an ordinary citizen of my country, all I need is an aroma of brotherhood and togetherness among the people.
Being a responsible citizen of my country,it's my duty to respect each other regardless of any caste, creed, religion, etc.
Being a true Muslim,it's my faith which asks me to equally respect Bhagwan Ram,God Jesus,Guru Gobind Singh ji,Gautam Budha and every other fellow human being who has to depart one day and answer to the creator of this world.
Being a true believer of humanity,it's my instinct which asks me to love everybody, whether he/she may be an atheist or a theist, straight, gay or a lesbian.
So,stop making these issues as scapegoats for targeting the food habits of people and be open to the feeling of love and harmony.
